Accepted materials: All porcelain sinks, toilets and urinals for a fee (see pricing below). An extra charge applies if non-porcelain pieces such as toilet seats, lids and plumbing fixtures have not been removed. Broken or cracked units are okay. NO biohazards. Vehicles that come to CHaRM are charged a $3 facility use fee per visit in addition to any per-item fees.

Service provided: Preserve® brand toothbrushes can be mailed back to the company for recycling. A postage-paid mailer is provided by the company. You can also drop off used Preserve® toothbrushes at any Gimme 5 recycling drop-off locations. The toothbrushes are made from Stonyfield Farms yogurt cups and are recycled into plastic lumber upon return to the company.

Eco-Cycle advocates "grasscycling," or letting grass clippings decompose into the lawn. This saves time, energy, and water, and reduces the need for fertilizers and pesticides. Seasonal yard waste and tree limb recycling programs are operated by towns and cities throughout Boulder County. Check with them for more information.

Service provided: The City of Boulder and Boulder County operate a discounted yard waste drop-off center for residents at Western Disposal. Residents receive a 40% discount from the listed rate. Boulder businesses can call for pricing.
Accepted materials: Tree branches up to 6 inches in diameter, leaves, grass and plant materials. Clean, unpainted and untreated dimensional lumber, pallets, wood cedar shake shingles, and cut-offs left over from construction or demolition projects are accepted.
Not accepted: Painted wood, pressure-treated lumber, wafer board, plywood and other composite lumber held together by glue.
More info: While dropping off your materials, you can also purchase compost and mulch made from your yard and wood waste at their compost facility.

Accepted materials: Tree limbs, shrubs, bushes and leaves (no grass) are accepted at no charge for Longmont residents only (contractors and non-residents pay a fee). All plastic bags must be removed upon depositing; paper yard waste bags are acceptable and do not need to be removed. Residents must bring a recent utility bill and a valid driver's license. Limbs are ground into mulch which is available free of charge to residents that pay for City of Longmont trash services.
