Recycling at the Curb
Lafayette
Residents of non-HOA neighborhoods receive single-stream recycling along with their trash service. These residents should call Western Disposal at 303.444.2037 for questions about scheduling and pickups.
Residents in HOA neighborhoods should contact their HOA for information on trash and recycling services.

Louisville
The city of Louisville contracted with Western Disposal for recycling and composting service for its residents. Learn more about the program on the city's website. Residents should call Western Disposal at 303.444.2037 for questions about scheduling and pickups or refer to the city's website.
Residents in HOA neighborhoods should contact their HOA for information on trash and recycling services.
Recycling at the Drop-off Center
The Glen Huey Recycling Center is permanently closed after many years of service to the Lafayette and Louisville communities. Residents now have expanded curbside recycling programs that accept all of the materials collected at the drop-off center and more. These better recycling opportunities, combined with budget cuts, have brought an end to the drop-off center.
Residents may drop off their recyclables at the Boulder County Recycling Center.
Scrap Metal
The City of Louisville is offering a pilot scrap metal collection program. Drop off items that are at least 50% metal for recycling--such as microwaves, toasters, pipes, shelving, empty paint cans and more--at the Public Works and Operations Yard at 1600 Empire Rd. in Louisville from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, city holidays excepted. The program will not accept refrigerators or other appliances containing Freon, propane canisters or other sealed tanks, cable, wire, batteries or any hazardous waste. (Find options for recycling these materials in our A-Z Recycling Guide) Learn more about the scrap metal recycling program.
