Executive Summary: The State of Recycling and Composting in Colorado 2024

Get the highlights of the 8th annual State of Recycling and Composting in Colorado report from Eco-Cycle and CoPIRG Foundation. Unfortunately, the rate at which we divert materials away from landfills through recycling and composting has stayed stubbornly low.

Read the full report to learn about the groundwork being done at the state and local levels to provide recycling access to all Coloradans, to further build out composting programs throughout the state, tools released in 2024, and the growth in local composting businesses and municipal programs to divert food scraps and yard trimmings.
