Resident Household Hazardous Waste
Service provided: Boulder County’s Hazardous Materials Management Facility is open for household hazardous waste drop-off from all residents of Boulder County, City and County of Broomfield, and the Town of Erie. This includes residents of Allenspark, Boulder, Broomfield, Erie, Hygiene, Jamestown, Lafayette, Longmont, Louisville, Lyons, Nederland, Superior, and Ward. Proof of residency (e.g. driving license, voter ID, tax certificate, lease agreement, utility bill) is required. Hazardous waste is recycled or disposed of properly.
Broomfield, Longmont, and Superior hold annual or periodic hazardous waste collection events for their residents. Please call your local town/city hall for details.
Accepted materials: Unused and unwanted hazardous products year-round from residents of Boulder County, City and County of Broomfield, and Town of Erie. Materials accepted include household cleaners, solvents, fluorescent tubes, glues, cleaners, pesticides, automotive fluids, automobile batteries, paint and paint products and rechargeable and non-alkaline batteries. Radioactive, explosive, shock-sensitive, infectious, and commercially generated wastes are not accepted.
Business (commerical businesses, agencies, non-profits, institutions, religious organizations, and schools) wastes are accepted by appointment only. Please visit website for details and application:
